The story so far...
Owned and operated by Martin and Kirsty Murray, Roots Cycles is a homegrown business built on Martin's years of experience of working with cyclists and their bikes.
We are a Velotech certified workshop offering a wide range of skills and services with a strong emphasis on attention to detail and great value.
We take a personalised approach to each job, so give us a ring and we'll get the kettle on ready to discuss your requirements with you.
Whatever your requirements, we're sure we can meet your cycling needs.
Roots Cycles works hard to provide all our customers with excellent services at the best price possible. When you need a professional solution to a cycling issue, trust us to get to the root of the problem.

Repairs, services and much more
Services start from as little as £25 and are a sure way to put your mind at ease that your bike is safe and performance is optimised.
Before a service we offer a full assessment (free of charge) to help us gauge how much servicing your bike requires. We then order any parts that will be needed and book a slot for your bike.
Bicycles and accessories
We're proud to be an authorised Trek retailer. We've loved Trek bikes for a long time, for their craftsmanship and innovation as well as their unparalleled customer service.
We stock a range of road, mountain, cyclocross, gravel, hybrid and children's bikes. We also have a selection of accessories, parts and nutrition products on offer.
Builds, repairs, modifications
Wheel building is something we are especially proud of at Roots Cycles. We build our wheels to a very high standard, taking care to meet the manufacturers specifications to the smallest of details.
Every wheel we build is stress tested and left to settle overnight to ensure your wheels will endure everything you might expect to throw at them.
For a bike as individual as you are
Discuss your specifications with us, we can assist with sourcing parts and building a bike to meet your specific needs and tastes (pink bar tape optional!).
You can even have all the parts sent to us and have your dream bike built whilst your at work.
Serviced and safe
With our own van and gazebo, Roots Cycles can work flexibly to meet your needs. If that's a fleet of bicycles, no problem, call us to talk through your requirements.
All you need to do is ask!
We offer many services, including:

Are you sitting comfortably?
To make the most of your muscles and protect your posture, you need our bike fit service.
This can make all the difference to the power you are able to put through your bike and to your comfort whilst your riding.
Every day's a school day
We love encouraging children and young adults to get cycling. We are happy to provide Dr Bike services to schools during BikeAbility and volunteer for BikeAbility instruction. We also assist with Duke of Edinburgh Award pupils, teaching basic bike mechanic skills.
We offer fleet maintenance services to schools to ensure that their pupils always have access to safe bikes.
Come in and say hello
Our shop is in Doune, famous for its pistols, Monty Python, Outlander and now Roots!
By car, the best way to find us is to turn down King Street (next to the Church on the High Street) and take the right fork of the road. If you're coming from the cycle path, cycle to the end of Moray Park and turn left. We're just around the corner, on the right-hand-side of Queen Street in the wooden building.
We hope to see you soon!
